Bruckner 3rd Symphony

 

In the collection of Gerhard Symons (2015).

 

This stained glass panel was designed and created for a suite of artworks that Symons is curating in honour of the 200th anniversary of Anton Bruckner’s birth in 1824. Many of the elements were designed to reflect the life and personality of Bruckner.

Central to this panel is the cross reflecting the importance of his faith. The intertwined circles read - composition, harmony and counterpoint; three essential elements for Bruckner, and the hallmark of his style.
